Welcome to Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre Our work is very visual and reaches a wide audience. We have a very varied programme and can adapt shows and workhops to suit your requirements. We have shows and workshops to go with school projects and put creativity at the very heart of our artistic programme. The children were totally entranced by his telling of the story, so much so that we were asked if he could come back" - Crail Festival July 2010 SCHOOL NEWSFLASH - WE ARE DOING 'PETER AND THE WOLF' FOR SCOTTISH PRIMARY SCHOOLS THIS YEAR IN ADDITION TO OUR REGULAR TOUR OF PRE FIVE SCHOOLS. THIS IS A BIG THEATRE SHOW SUITABLE FOR SCHOOL HALLS AND TAKES TWO PUPPETEERS SO BOOK EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT. UNDER 5'S? WE STILL HAVE OUR SMALLER SHOWS ON THE GO BUT WILL HAVE LESS SLOTS THIS YEAR SO PLEASE GET IN TOUCH AS SOON AS YOU CAN IF YOU WANT A PARTICULAR DATE. 2010 - 2011 PLANS 'PETER AND THE WOLF' - on tour from August 2010 will also tour Scottish schools at Christmas - booking is now open. Our flagship show, this is a great show for all the family from 4 upwards, check the shows page for more details. Watch this space for details of new shows still to be announced. We tour to: Theatres, Festivals, Schools and Village Halls. GOOD NEWS Leigh McCalister of Clydebuilt has been awarded £10,000 to run a puppet project collaborating with local schools in Fife. The award will cover making a show with direct input from children and increasing teachers understanding of how puppetry can be a part of the New Curriculum 4 Excellence in Scotland. The award is part of the 'Celebrating Fife' year and is also supported by Puppet Animation Scotland and Arts and Theatres Trust, Fife and Fife Council. Many Thanks to the funders for creating this unique opportunity. INTERNATIONAL TOURING ENQUIRIES WELCOME. Our shows travel with us as luggage and weigh around 23 kilos each. We can either fly to a venue or drive if it is within Europe. THEATRES AND FESTIVALS The company is very experienced and has a wide touring circuit taking in many theatres throughout the country including Malvern Theatres, The Tricycle Theatre, London and The Lowry, Salford. The company also regularly performs at the biggest UK Puppet Festival - THE PUPPET ANIMATION FESTIVAL, SCOTLAND (30+ performances in this festival 2010). SCHOOLS - We tour regularly to schools with a variety of shows and workshops. We are happy to fit in with your requirements. In 2010 we are preparing for the new Scottish Curriculum for Excellence and will adapt our work to suit the needs of schools. English schools - please talk to us about your requirments.

'THEATRE 4 ONE show titled 'ROCK BOTTOM . Lasting 3 minutes long this is a flexible piece of theatre for one person at a time, along with interested onlookers. This show can be performed in almost any space, inside or out, weather permitting and is suitable for festivals and any one else interested in this unusual form of puppet theatre.
